Hope is the intersection of reality and possibility—where innovation and change are ignited.
Hope is grounded in reality.
Its fuel are facts and human stories of transformation and reconciliation. Hope does not turn a blind eye to discomfort or unpleasant truths. Hope is not ignorant, fictional, or disconnected from the human experience. Hope looks deep and wide across people and life’s present-day conditions. It seeks to understand problems and discover solutions for growth, change, and assurance. Hope grounded in wishful thinking or arrogance is nothing more than a fantasy. Integrated with the realities of our time, it relentlessly pursues a better story for a reimagined tomorrow. Hope is a powerful catalyst for lasting change.
Hope learns through suffering.
It faces the challenges, crises, and conditions of life that create discomfort, pain, and tragedy. It does so with humility, compassion, and righteous anger. Hope refuses to settle for the status quo, biased perspectives, or apathetic responses. Hope is opposed to nihilism which claims despair as its virtue. Hope is unafraid to sit in pain, seek counsel, acknowledge wrongdoing, pursue forgiveness, and release what is beyond our control. Then, and only then, does hope begin to create pathways forward. Through suffering, agency, and the advocacy of others, hope can start to envision a better tomorrow.
Hope is sacrificial.
It demands risks are taken over safe passages. Hope requires personal loss for collective gain. Desires that seek to serve the self are fleeting, but hope that empowers and gives to others is enduring. Hope recognizes selfless courage over self-serving grandstanding. It distinguishes sincerity from showmanship. Hope chooses sacrifice because it’s the way of goodness, compassion, and love. Hope believes humanity flourishes when neighbors are cared for, the marginalized are lifted, and we do for others more than we expect them to do for us. Sacrifice is leadership in action and the stories that inspire others to join us in a transformational journey.
Hope believes in a better tomorrow.
It speaks with language of faith and mythology because the reality it envisions has not yet been fully realized or experienced. Hope tells stories of the infinite for the finite. Hope sparks our imagination by inspiring the very best of us and our world. Hope is the intersection of reality and possibility—where innovation and change are ignited. It looks to the past for insights but leans into values that catalyze personal growth, renewal, and transcendence. Hope values holistic flourishing, openness to diversity, progress toward sustainable living, and equitable outcomes. They are the foundations necessary for a peaceful and inclusive world. Hope believes in a better tomorrow because the future requires it of us.
Hope calls us to action.
It refuses to remain neutral in consequential times. Hope calls us forward in time for a greater purpose and revelation. It seeks to disrupt our conditional behaviors through evolutionary change and growth. It expands our awareness, creates opportunities, and strengthens our resolve for equitable and sustainable solutions. Hope without action is nothing more than restless fantasies. Hope in action and faith propels us to a better tomorrow—together.
